Obsidian Canyon

Snaking through the heart of the Bronze Peaks, this canyon was named for the rock that lines the canyon walls and floor. Originally formed from a lava flow, In most places the canyon walls have gentle grade, making the canyon easily climbed. Only small scrub and spiky grass grow in the clefts of the rocks, the base of the canyon covered with rocky, glittering sand. Obsidian canyon begins at the north base of Pale Mountain and then runs west to east loosely paralleling the Pale river. The canyon ends just before the Hammerfalls river meets the Pale river.

The canyon is home to the reclusive Blackjaw tribe of gnolls and the occasional family of salamanders.
